We are seeking a Frontend Engineer II to build and scale secure, reliable, and intuitive digital financial products.
In this role, you will partner with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences while driving frontend architecture and engineering best practices.
You will support key initiatives, contribute to technical decision-making, and help ensure our applications meet the performance, scalability, and security standards required in the fintech industry.
Responsibilities
What will you do:
Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance frontend applications that support digital banking, payments, lending, wealth management, and other financial services products.
Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and compliance teams to deliver customer-centric financial solutions.
Develop reusable and maintainable frontend components using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, ensuring consistency across products and platforms.
Build intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex financial transactions, account management, reporting, and payment workflows.
Integrate frontend systems with APIs, payment gateways, banking services, fraud prevention tools, and third-party financial platforms.
Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations, data privacy requirements, accessibility standards, and security best practices.
Implement robust authentication, authorization, and secure session management mechanisms to protect customer and transaction data.
Optimize application performance, responsiveness, scalability, and reliability across multiple devices and browsers.
Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to customer transactions, account servicing, and digital financial products.
Qualifications
What you bring:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
5 years building mobile apps in fintech or a regulated environment preferred.
Frontend Development (React, Angular, Vue.js).
JavaScript & TypeScript Expertise.
Financial Systems & FinTech Product Knowledge.
Secure Application Development.
Payment Gateway & API Integration.
Agile Product Development.
Regulatory & Compliance Awareness.
Regulatory Considerations:
Implements frontend controls supporting PCI-DSS and secure handling of sensitive input fields.
Ensures consent flows and data collection UI comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
