Job Summary
As the backend engineer, your primary responsibilities would be to design, develop and maintain web applications and services that are built on the .NET framework.
You would be expected to work closely with other developers, project managers, and business analysts to ensure that the software you create meets the requirements of the end users.
Responsibilities
Responsible for deploying, supporting, monitoring and troubleshooting large scale micro-service based distributed systems with high transaction volume;
Documenting the IT infrastructure, policies and procedures. Work closely together with development teams to implement and automate systems and architectures.
Design, deploy, and maintain tools and services to support a robust infrastructure.
Develop and maintain databases that support web applications.
Integrate web applications with third-party tools and services.
Ensure the security and integrity of backend systems by implementing appropriate security protocols and measures.
Conduct unit tests and automated tests to ensure the quality and functionality of backend systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with backend systems.
Take end-to-end ownership of backend features and services: from requirements clarification and system design to implementation, deployment, and production support.
Actively participate in technical decision-making, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Own the operational health of the services you build, including monitoring, debugging, and performance improvements.
Collaborate with other members of the development team to ensure project timelines and milestones are met.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in backend development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related field.
2 – 4 years of direct programming experience.
Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills as well as an ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines.
Proven success as a .NET Developer.
Comprehensive understanding of the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server, and design/architectural patterns (e.g., CLEAN Architecture) and grasp of different architecture styles/APIs including REST and RPC.
Experience in the finance or fintech sector is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and impeccable attention to detail.
Professional fluency in English is vital, both written and spoken.
