A luxury interior design firm is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Design Assistant to support our team on luxury residential projects.
This role involves assisting with design development, collaborating with CAD designers on layouts, and helping to prepare client-facing presentations and project documents.
The ideal candidate will be thorough, resourceful, and eager to grow within a boutique interior design practice.
Key Responsibilities
Support the design team by reviewing floorplans and working with CAD designers to ensure layouts are functional, well-balanced, and aligned with project goals.
Contribute to the preparation of mood boards, presentations, and specification documents in line with the studio’s design process.
Organise samples, maintain the design library, and assist with sourcing furniture, lighting, and finishes.
Provide project support including scheduling, maintaining project files, and tracking progress against timelines.
Assist in placing and tracking orders, handling returns where necessary, and liaising with suppliers to confirm lead times and availability.
Skills & Qualifications
Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years experience.
Strong knowledge of interior design principles, particularly space planning and furniture selection.
Proficiency with design tools (Photoshop, Canva, Indesign or similar).
Ability to collaborate effectively with CAD designers (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.) even if not producing technical drawings themselves.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
Highly organised with strong time-management skills. Bonus Skills
Experience in luxury residential interiors.
Strong eye for styling and accessorising.
Familiarity with vendor sourcing and procurement.
Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
Salary
N200,000 monthly.
