Job Title: PHP Developer
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain robust server – side PHP applications and RESTful APIs.
Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers,
Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL, AND CI/CD pipelines required.
Design client-side and server-side architecture
Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
Develop and manage databases and applications
Write effective APIs
Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
Create security and data protection settings
Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
Write technical documentation
Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 5 years of professional PHP development experience.
Strong proficiency in core PHP and modern frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony).
Solid experience with RESTful API design and development.
Expertise in MySQL and/or PostgreSQL databases.
Experience with Git and version control workflows.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Strong understanding of MVC architecture and OOP principles.
